How Peace Is Necessary Factor for International Trading

Published by:

International Trading

International trading and world peace are interrelated and the debate over whether the increased level of international trade can lead to fewer world conflicts or vice versa has been raging in political science and economic circles for years now. However, studies suggest that trade benefits the economy of the nations and the nation’s residents. Expanding trade, foreign investment and competition deliver lower prices, more choices and higher incomes for consumers. Take the case of the beauty industry in Australia which has been revolutionised by non-invasive cosmetic treatments delivered on IPL machines, microdermabrasion and LED machines being developed by the leading manufacturers. The globalisation has opened fantastic opportunities for the Australian companies to deliver these machines and their services to hundreds of millions of new customers.

Raised returns for people

This rising flow of capital across borders has raised returns for people who save and invest while funding new investment opportunities that spread good paying jobs and technologies around the globe. During the World War II and Cold War, the republican and democratic presidents advocated international trade which helped to promote human rights and democracy and ultimately a more peaceful world.

Global trade has more impact on creating peace by lessening the likelihood of conflict between the nations located at a distance than for nations sharing common borders.

Keep fragile states peaceful

Trade can have a substantial impact on whether the fragile economics will remain peaceful or backslide into conflict. International trade to fragile countries provide the populations with necessities and as a result, conflict is less likely to occur. Fragile states are low-income countries that are unable to meet their population expectations and capacity, so they are extremely dependent on international trade for food and basic commodities. So, no conflict will occur as long as international trade to these countries continues.

The challenges faced

There are many challenges a nation faces on daily bases such as concerns over the environment, sudden disease outbreak and terrorist issues. All these problems and challenges can be tackled if nations cooperate by sharing resources and information to help efficiently solve the problems.

When a nation shares its resources with other nation, it automatically resolves the difficulties that they are facing as it creates a balance between the two. When all the nations have what they need, automatically the economy will grow and societies tend to live in harmony with each other. On the other hand, if resources are not shared, nations become hostile and no one is profited in the end.

As the world is filled with so much diversity, it is exciting to know about them, so international relations can also be built by promoting cultural backgrounds of the nations. This can be done by allowing tourists to visit countries to learn about the culture, promote student exchange programs and having cultural exhibitions to enhance the understanding of various lifestyles of people.

In the end, living in peace and harmony is what every nation wants. The economic instability of a country will provoke political upheaval in the country, so it is essential to focus on the economic growth which can be achieved by international trade.

Universal Laws to Maintain Peace and Order

Universal Peace

Laws are essential because they serve as a standard of conduct for residents. It also acts as a guideline for acceptable behaviour and ensures equality within communities and social groups. Laws communicate what is acceptable and what is not in each society and are also necessary in order for a society to be peaceful and problem-free. Without law, there would be no guidelines for accepted behaviour and conflicts between social groups and communities could erupt. Laws provide protection to victims of crimes and punishment and to those who violate the laws.

Law is the essential foundation of stability and order both within societies and in international relations. The UN is working to maintain international peace and security in a world where security threats have become more complex. UN was primarily established to maintain international peace and security.

The first universal law formulated by UN is peaceful settlement or adjustment of disputes. Since the direct cause of war and violence is always a dispute between states, it is necessary that these disputes should be settled at the earliest. If the parties fail to settle the dispute by peaceful means, they are bound by the terms of UN charter to refer the problem to the council. For example, if you are involved in a dispute concerning a contract for the sale of land in another country, then you should consult conveyancing lawyers in that country to help you out in the settlement of the dispute. The lawyers aim to offer an impartial and authoritative alternative to litigation and arbitration.

Parental principle law includes compulsory attendance laws for children. Under this law child and vulnerable adults can’t be neglected. Also, under this law, possession of certain drugs is not permitted. This law is effective in maintaining peace and prosperity in the world if sensibly enforced.

All governments have laws controlling utilisation of goods or services to its citizens, but when these laws are used to control the conduct, they can give few people, groups or associations unfair preferences over others.

Human rights are another international law under where certain stipulations are laid which everyone is bound to respect. Under this law, all human beings are entitled to civil and political rights, right to life and liberty, freedom of speech and thought, social, cultural and economic rights, right to food, right to work and right to education. The law prohibits practices such as torture, slavery and uninformed detention or exile.

Laws are essential to have a system in a society to regulate a good relationship among citizens, even for those with conflicting interests. Laws ensure that human rights are protected and respected. Without laws, our society and the world would not be able to function properly and crimes would become an everyday occurrence and breach the peace and prosperity of the nation.

Refugees are Welcome in Canada says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Refugees are welcome in Canada says Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada. But what were the calamitous happenings that have made the PM come out with such a statement?

It all happened outside the borders of Canada in the USA. Soon after he was sworn in as the President of the United States and true to his campaign promise, Donald Trump signed an executive order that has its ramifications across the globe even though the fallout is restricted to just seven countries. The order bans all immigrants and even visa holders from seven Muslim majority countries from entering the USA for 90 days. It even prohibits all refugee admissions for 120 days, bans Syrian refugees indefinitely and puts Christian refugees at the front of the line.

This act that plays right into the hands of Muslim terrorism propaganda that theirs is a persecuted lot in the hands of America. Surprisingly, no immigrants from all the seven countries on the ban order – Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Sudan and Somalia have been responsible for even one American death due to terrorist attacks in the USA. They are just fleeing oppression, violence and war in their respected countries. Slamming the door on their faces has raised a hue and cry around the world.

What has shown Trump in bad light is blocking Muslim refugees from Muslim countries while giving precedence to Christian refugees. Syrians have been singled out by Trump. Anyone from that country, including those fleeing the civil war that has already devastated the nation has been blocked indefinitely from entering the United States of America.

It is here that the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has donned the mantle of saviour for refugees. On Saturday, he emphatically stated that his country will welcome refugees blocked by the Trump administration. He tweeted, “To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength. #WelcomeToCanada”. Immigration lawyers in Vancouver, BC are also working overtime to ensure that the refugees get a smooth passage into the country.

A spokeswoman of Trudeau said that the PM has plans to discuss the success of Canada’s refugee policy with Trump. Kate Purchase said, “The Prime Minister is looking forward to discussing the successes of Canada’s immigration and refugee policy with the President when they next speak”.

Justin Trudeau has always been sympathetic to those escaping from persecution in foreign lands. Soon after assuming charge as the Prime Minister of Canada, Trudeau welcomed about 39,000 Syrian refugees into the country. On Saturday, he also posted a picture date marked 2015 on Twitter that shows him greeting a Syrian refugee child at the Toronto airport.

Trudeau has received unqualified support from Toronto Mayor John Tory who called his city one of the most diverse in the world. In a statement he said, “We understand that as Canadians we are almost all immigrants and that no one should be excluded on the basis of their ethnicity or nationality”.

Canada now definitely remains the last hope for refugees from the banned countries on Trump’s list.
