A band of nearly 50 walkers and skateboard supporters compteted the final mile of the 300 mile Walk for Tibet Florida from St. Augustine to West Palm Beach, which started February 14 and concluded February 26, 2011. We departed from a meet and greet with West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel at the Green Market, and followed along the Intracoastal Waterway to the serene Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens.
This is the place where, long ago, the Norbu family spent many summers and holidays with their friend artist Ann Norton. She had a history of support of Tibetan monasteries and friendship with the exile communiity.
