Day 19

In the morning the walkers were approached by a curious photographer

his name was Stephen.He told the walkers he had been seeing them on the road for last 2 days

and to continue promoting world peace.

Taryn who has the house with Tibetan flags suggested  the walkers to go to

the local coop.People in town have been talking about the walk.The walkers followed her to the

local food coop.

The walkers went inside the coop and campaighned about Tibet to every person in the store.

Many of the customers were well aware of the walk and were happy they were doing this.

Pictures were taken with alot of the customers.Flyers were distributed all over and the work

at the coop seemed to be done.

When the walkers took the coffee and edibles someone a very kind supporter paid for the bill.

Eddy Nix from Driftless Books invited the walkers.Sara from the coop took them there.

The Bookstore was in an old historical tobacco building that the original owner gave him in

supporting his idea of an bookstore.There hung at the entry was a Thanka painting of Thungton

gyalpo who was a king of a region of Tibet and founder of the tibetan opera.Then surrounded by

thousands of books and antique furniture made the place very comfortable and unique setting.

He also had a picture of the walkers poster promotion of the event at Echo Valley farms.

The beautiful hard wood floors and high hardwood ceiling makes the place.
The students from Laurel Charter high school heard the walkers were visiting and since it was

there last day before graduation some of them came over to the bookstore to meet and listen to the walkers

presentation.The students had many good questions and thanked the walkers for what they were doing.

Climbing the hills and mountains of Wisconsin is always a challenge but the views were worth it.
Walking up a mountain an elder women waves and says we were doing gods work please keep it up!
Look for rangzen who flew of the sighn.
Entering into La cross county after climbing many high hills.

Molly from WORT radio station interviewed both Jigme-la and Tenzin-la about the work.

The two ladies stopped by and gave them bottles of water.
Denew and Barbra waited at the corner and was curious for what the walk was about.

They also donated money and was well aware about Tibet and its history..

Still walking and entering in The LaCross  town.

28 miles was completed.

Echo Valley Farms of Wisconsin invites the walkers for an evening about Tibet.

Dena who created this farm  gave a wonderful  speech and then introduced Jigme-la

All the audience with the childrens were sitting on blankets all cuddeled up with a blazing fire in the background

listening to the walkers tell there experience of the walk.After the presentation  Jampa-la president of the

Tibetan association of Wisconsin thanked Echo valley farms and the audience to make this event possible.

He also gave an invitation to all of the Tibetfest this fall.

Jigme-la then introduced the Tibetan performers.

Tibetan cultural dance performers Tsering-la who sang and Sonam-la who played the

traditional  tibetan instrument.

Some of the tibetan community members of Wisconsin sang a wonderful group song

to the audience.The song was about preservation of the tibetan culture and identity.

A group picture on stage at Echo Valley farms.The event lasted till 11:00pm but was

worth every minute.The event night was very special as the full moon was out and it was also Saka Dawa

which means when Buddha was born and in enlightened and gave his first teaching.

The evening closed with everyone walking down the beautiful mountain top

trail in full moon presence.
